He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Letcher Puckett and Maryon Jenks Puckett; his wife Nona M. Puckett; his children, Patricia P. Marstin (Ronald) and James D. Puckett, Jr. (Maureen); his grandchildren, Taylor M. Carwile (Daniel), Brad Marstin, Cole Puckett and Casen Puckett; and his great grandchildren, Bobby and Ben Carwile.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home (221 Old Main St, Brookneal, VA 24528). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Falling River Baptist Church (2874 Wickliffe Rd, Brookneal, VA 24528).
