He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet Ruth McDonald (Scotty) and James Franklin Sonner; and his siblings, Jimmy Sonner and Victoria Sonner. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Sonner; his stepchildren, Jonathon (Danielle), Skylar, Hunter, Noah, Shane, Connor (Amerisa), Meagan (Robbie) and Logan (Kaitlin); his grandchildren, Harlie, Skyla, Paxton, Baylor and Haven; and his sisters, Sue (Mike) and Robin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Timberlake Church (21649 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502).
