He is survived by: his wife Darla Owens of Forest, VA; his daughters, Allison Paige Owens (Thomas Fredrick Woiwode) of LaJolla, CA, Audrey Lamar Owens (Neville Kodkani) and Muenchenstein; his grandchildren, Aline Owens Woiwode, Aurélie Owens Woiwode and Kian Kodkani Owens; his nephew Glen Brooks Schmidt (Dawn); his niece Beth Ann Owens Lugar (David); Brigitte Schmidt.
