He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Newberry and Ethel Mary Newberry; his wife Evelyn; and his siblings, Gladys (Cantrell), Earl, Raymond, Frances (Dye) and Arvel.
He is survived by: his children, Orin (Hanci), Ada Popek (Robert) and Mary Ryczko (Robert); and his grandchildren, Justin Popek, Elizabeth Conner (Newberry), Max Newberry, Will Newberry and Jacob Ryczko. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
The family requests donations be made to American Legion Post 16 Honor Guard, 1301 Greenview Drive, Lynchburg, Va. 24502.
