He is survived by: his siblings, Philip A Abbott of Wake Forest and Carol A Abbott of Lancaster; his cousin Christine Dolgopol of Wheeling; his niece Katherine E Abbott of Raleigh; and his stepchildren, William Viar (Randy) and Shawn Miller.
