She was predeceased by: her parents, John B. Evans and Peggy J. Collins Funkhouser; and her husband Larry Gene Sorrell Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Larry Gene Sorrell Jr. (Laura) of Edinburg, Derek C. Sorrell of Pottsville, PA and Denee Sorrell (David) of Harrisonburg; her sisters, Johnnie Renee Shamburg (Lee) and Rita Evans Wegman; her grandchildren, Keelia, David, Emma, Jonathan, Anthony, Andrew, Taylor, Dylan, Madylan, Ryan and Anna; and her great grandchildren, Kaine and Asher. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
