We bid farewell to John Emory Horner (Foster, Virginia), born in Chincoteague, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 29, 2025 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Leslie Horner and Mildred Fish Horner; his grandfather Johnny; his brother Raymond Horner; his sister-in-law Nancy Horner; his son Paul Wayne Horner; his nephews, Raymond Kerry Horner, Jr. and Michael James Horner; and his stepson-in-law Steve Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Madeline Davis Horner; his sister Wanda Horner Kubitz (Ray); his daughters, Leslie Jean Horner and Marcia Horner Howlett; his son-in-law Danny Howlett; his stepdaughters, Vickie Garcia and Brenda Allen; his grandchildren, Daniel Howlett and Rhonda Howlett Carroll (Clay Carroll); and his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Carroll, Noah Carroll, Sara Newsome, Elzie Sampson, Chris Sampson, Nicky Tuthill and Ashley Dawson. He is also survived by great granddaughter, eleven step great granddaughters, and five step great grandsons.
