He was predeceased by: his parents, George William and Marjorie Benson; his son Christopher William Benson; and his sister Patricia Ann Butler. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his sons, Kevin (Michele) and Drew (Karen); his grandchildren, Paisley, Landon and Maddux; his siblings, Carol Bowen, June Whaley, Ben Benson (Angie), Peggy Stocks and Steve Benson (Terri); his brother-in-law Curt Butler; and his nephew Stuart Earl Powell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wright Funeral Home (206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851). The military honors will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
