She was predeceased by : her parents, George Lloyd Baker and Juanita Phelps Baker; her brothers, Carroll and David Baker; and her daughter-in-law Laura Bowen.

She is survived by : her husband Roger Thomas Vasser; her sons, Ralph Chappell, Jr. and Timmy Chappell; her grandson Austin Chappell; and her friend Berdie Duck.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Burdette Baptist Church, 35490 Burdette Rd., Franklin, VA 23851.
