She was predeceased by: her parents, John Waverly Coggsdale, Sr. and Bertha Harcum Coggsdale; her husband Hugh Etheridge Carr; her daughters, Rebecca Carr Francis and Brenda Carr Holloman; and her siblings, Joyce Antnette Coggsdale Harrell, Freddy Coggsdale, Hubert Washington Coggsdale and Shelton Harcum Coggsdale.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jean Paige Coggsdale Vaughan, Evelyn Marie Coggsdale Daughtrey, John Waverly Coggsdale, Jr. (Shelby) and Edward Lee Coggsdale, Jr. (Mary Carolyn); her sons-in-law, Wallace Francis and Larry Holloman; her grandchildren, Dustin Dunnagan, Melissa Holloman Nurney (Randy), Christopher Ray Holloman, Hugh Ryan Holloman (Jessica), Brandy Barnes (John), Shannon Francis, Michael Francis (Heather) and Kirstin F. Rogers (Sam); her great grandchildren, Chase Dunnagan, Caitlyn Dunnagan, Marissa Nurney, Elizabeth Nurney, Jenna Nurney, Christopher Holloman, Ryland Holloman, Faith Holloman, McKayla Holloman, Jace Holloman, Elsie Holloman, Kailea Carden, Gavin Barnes, Adelle Barnes, Harvest Barnes, Payton Francis, Austin Rogers and Easton Rogers; and her great great grandchild Cayden Nash Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Black Creek Baptist Church.
