He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Chaplin and Sarah Elizabeth Stanley (Shaffer); his wife Gladys Lucille Liptrap; his son Roger Stanley; his granddaughter Tammie Obenshain; and his son-in-law Gerald Craft.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lucy Teague (Marshall) of Roanoke County, Pat Dew (Gene) of Salem, Judy Stanley of Salem and Nancy Craft of Roanoke; and his grandchildren, Dr. Mike Stanley, Christopher Stanley and Teresa Engle. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of memorial contributions and in recognition of Frank's appreciation of flowers the family suggests floral arrangements be sent to Obaugh Funeral Home for the service.
