It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freeman Jones Harrell of Franklin, Virginia, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bryant Harrell and Mattie Jarratt Harrell; his wife Barbara Carter Harrell; and his brothers, Bryant Harrell and Walter Harrell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Betsy H. Kennedy (Walter) and Ann H. Cobb (Gardner); his close friend Joyce Ann White; his siblings, Melissa Jackson, Virginia Mae Simmons and Dudley Harrell; and his grandchildren, Meredith, Aidan Kennedy, Mason and Sarah Cobb.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday evening at Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Hunterdale Christian Church.
