He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Roop and Tommy (Helen Sechler); and his daughter Kimberly Roop Clemons. He is survived by: his children, Kelley Roop Brown (David), Tommy Roop (Mandy) and Gary Roop Jr.; his grandchildren, Carter Williamson (Taylor), Bryce Bessell (Rebecca), Mason Roop and Harper Roop; his great grandchildren, Evren Bessell, Faye Bessell and Riley Williamson; and his sisters, Terri Roop Edwards, Sheila Sechler and Connie Sechler. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 1544 Blankenship Rd, Goodview, VA 24095.
