Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Glenda Thompson Williams of Franklin, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 83, on March 4, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis B. Thompson and Evelyn Mosley Thompson; her husband William Eugene "Gene" Williams; and her sister Judith T. Heath. She is survived by: her children, Sandra W. Smith (Paul) of Clinton, NC, Rachel W. Smith (Jimmy Drake) of Franklin, Andrew B. Cambron (JoAnne) of Hendersonville, NC and Michael B. Williams (Charity) of Valdese, NC; her sister Gail T. Stradley of Chesapeake; and her grandchildren, Michael Atkins, Jr., Suzanne Smith, Victoria Brogdon (Jake), Michaela Bowman (Patrick) and Elijah Williams. She is also survived by two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
