He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Clifton Butler, Jr. and Kathleen Cobb Butler; and his brother Charles A. Butler. He is survived by: his children, Tina Sudduth (John), Lisa Whitfield (Melvin), Ashley Lassiter (Justin), Raymond Gay (Nikki) and Travis Butler; his sisters, Joyce Blythe (Fred), Judy Bailey (Wayne) and Phyllis Metcalf (Jerry); his grandchildren, Brian Gay, Candice Midyette, Bradley Spivey, Sharon Gay, Shannon Gay, Robert Whitfield, Raymond Gay and Jessica Butler; his great grandchildren, Brianna Gay, Bradley Gay, Cade Seagraves and Cami Seagraves; his friend Theresa Griffin; and his sister-in-law Mary Lee Butler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851).
