He was predeceased by: his parents, James Abbitt Coggsdale, Jr. and Shirley Whitley Coggsdale. He is survived by: his daughter Julie Ann Coggsdale; his siblings, Connie Renn and Kenneth Coggsdale; his grandson Bradley "Boo Boo" Hoffler; and his nephew Abbitt (Amanda).
