He is survived by: his wife Helen Linda Walter; his children, Lisa Williams (David) of Chesapeake, Edward Walter and Wesley Walter of Norfolk; his siblings, Linda Morrison (Bob) of Virginia Beach, Sally Fontenot (Bill) of Sedley, Tom Walter (Jeri) of Austin, TX and Bob Walter (Susan) of Moyock, NC; and his grandchildren, Kristine LeStrange (Dustin), John Williams, Jr., Jessica Walter and Emalee Williams.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (206 W 4th Ave, Franklin, VA 23851).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sycamore Baptist Church, Franklin, VA.
