He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward McNamara and Emma Covey Williams; his wife Margaret Blades McNamara; and his brother Bruce McNamara. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Susan Waldroup (Mike) of Chesapeake, Russell A. Davidson (Ruby) of Sumter and Carl William McNamara (Carolyn) of Chesapeake; his grandchildren, Jamie Andrews, Jason Davidson, Melissa Taylor, Chad Waldroup and Kelly McNamara; and his great grandchildren, Shelby Waldroup, Cole Waldroup, Vanessa Davidson, Abigail Davidson and Rylee Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Somerton Methodist Church (8610 Whaleyville Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23438). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church and suggests memorial donations be made to Somerton Methodist Church, 8610 Whaleyville Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23438.
