She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Little and Kate Johnson Flythe; her husbands, R. C. "Punk" Whitley and Shepherd Johnson; and her niece Susan Flythe.
She is survived by: her children, Carter Whitley (Fair) of Charlotte, NC, Katie Whitley Sloan (Gary Starr) of Chester, VA and Marge Whitley Whitley (George) of Nags Head, NC.; her grandchildren, Carter, Cyrus Whitley, Joe, Will, Josh Sloan, Sarah and Morgan Whitley; and her great grandchildren, Addison Kate Sawyer, Lottie Sloan, Isabel and Mary Sloan.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to High St. United Methodist Church, PO Box 218, Franklin, VA 23851.
