He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin Ferguson and Virginia Fuller Ferguson; his son Patrick Gayle Ferguson, Jr.; and his siblings, Sally Vick, Barbara Thorpe, Mary Hurless, Joe and Gilbert Ferguson.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Benson Ferguson; his son Earl Karlton Ferguson; and his brother Algie Ferguson (Sandy) of North Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4PM on Sunday in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
