He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Tom and Janie Pope Griffin; his siblings, JT Griffin, Calvin Griffin and Nancy King; his great grandchild Jonathan Moulder; and his nephew Bruce Arrington.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Baugham Griffin; his children, Samuel Gerald Griffin, Jr. (Carol) and Rhonda G. Culpepper (Steven); his brother Ronald P. Griffin (Mary Ann); his grandchildren, Deric Everett (Denise), Clinton Keyser (Crystal), Amber Wallace (Chad), Navy Jardin Keyser (Emma), Travis Keyser (Raven), Jenna Culpepper (Emmett) and Darion Colon (Kaile); his great grandchildren, Navy Tayler Everett, Jessica Schuner (Travis), Kyle Jarvis, Saphira White, Solace White, Hayden Wallace, Codi Johnson (Kyle), Michael Wallace, Cali Balusek (Brent), Greyson Keyser, Harper Keyser, Emmiliegh Keyser, Madison Keyser and Millie Colon; his sister Barbara Pannell of Conover, NC.; his sister-in-law Mildred Arrington; his nieces and nephews, Tommy Griffin (Shiela), William Arrington (Patricia), Connie Springs of Ohio, Diane Arrington and Anita Brown; and his caregiver Ashley.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.
