Alice Carolyn Coates Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 31, 2026, at the age of 81, Alice Carolyn Coates (Fredericksburg, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Alice may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alice touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Coates and Mildred Coates. She is survived by: her sisters, Martha Coates of Chapel Hill, NC and Mildred Coates Cavin (Milly). She is also survived by her many former colleagues, friends and Fairview Beach neighbors.
