Bates; her children, Erin Bates and Sean Bates; her stepchildren, Ericka Bates and Devin Bates; her parents, Franklin Schmidt and Doris Schmidt; her siblings, Deborah Schmidt, Sherrie Crouse and Beverly Schockey; her parents-in-law, Nilion Bates and Barbara A. Bates; and her siblings-in-law, Natasha Bates, Steven Bates and Michael Bates, Sr.. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
