She was predeceased by: her parents, George Garner and Adeline Garner; her husband William W. Young; and her siblings, George William Garner, Doris Flippo, Virginia Hall, Jean Trainor and Vanda Fines.
She is survived by: her children, Doug W. Young (Mary Kay) of Fredericksburg and Patricia A. Dery (Daniel) of Greensboro; her sister Rose Marie Payne; and her caregiver Carolyn Frazier. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
