He was predeceased by: his parents, Diggs Edward Bishop and Dora Allen Bishop; and his siblings, Kitty Bishop, Sarah Pietsch, Fully Bishop and Bill Bishop.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Harner Bishop of Fredericksburg; and his children, Patricia Bishop, Kathy Bishop, Willie Bishop, Allen Bishop and Vance Bishop. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
