He was predeceased by: his wife Kay; his son David Eckler Jr.; his granddaughter Stephanie; and his great grandchild Makayla. He is survived by: his children, John Eckler (Jamie Marie), Thomas Eckler (Tammy) and Michelle Brittain; and his sister Cathy Gross. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
