She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Dawson and Margaret Gillespie Dawson; her brother Luther "Ben" Dawson; and her nephew Jay Dawson. She is survived by: her sister Gayle Dawson Garcia of Ruther Glen, Virginia; and her sibling's children, Michael Dawson, Vince Dawson, Jenny Dawson Smith, Angelina Dawson, Gabby Smith and Jordan "Petey" Dawson.
