He was predeceased by: his former wife Judith S. Self; his parents, Vernie F. Self and Robert J. Self; and his stepmother Katherine H. Self. He is survived by: his wife Janice M. Self; his children, Donald P. Self Jr. (Betty), Shannon L. Self and Kimberly S. Moulds (Bill); and his stepdaughter Melissa Cooper Kaila (Robert). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
