It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Lucille Brooks of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who passed away on January 12, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Frances shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Frances farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Johnson and Queen Johnson; her husband Melvin Brooks; and her sons, Sammy Johnson and Jimmy Brooks.
She is survived by: her sons, David Brooks (Brenda) and Michael Brooks (Debra); and her daughter-in-law Sherry Brooks. She is also survived by four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
