She was predeceased by: her brothers, Robert and William; her adoptive son Roger (Strother); her great grandchild Margo Alice Strother; and her parents, Fred Gerber and Edna Gerber.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Strother; her sister Elena Hall of Spain; her sister-in-law Linda Patrick; her half-brother Fred W. Gerber of Norfolk; her grandchildren, Strother, Jr. (Kortnie) of Maryland and Julie Holton of Quantico; and her great grandchildren, Elise and Jude Strother.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Laurel Hill Funeral Home (10127 Plank Rd, Spotsylvania Courthouse, VA 22553).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Children’s National Hospital Foundation.
