She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Johnson and Audrey King. She is survived by: her husband Joseph L. Williams; her daughter Jacqueline A. Gilchrist-McCord; her siblings, Bradley P. King, Carl E. King, Douglas M. King, Jacqueline A. Battieste, Gloria F. Shepherd and June M. White; her daughters, Erica Linton, Andrea "Pinky" Boone (Richard) and Tanya Heath (Jeff); her stepchildren, Cynthia M. Hampton, Joseph L. Williams III (Paula), Vincent Williams (Gretchen) and Evette Lawrence; her sister Linda Ferguson; her brothers-in-law, Earl Williams (Connie), John Battieste and Douglas Shepherd; and her close friend Sheila Staples. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
