She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Agnes and Walter Benjamin Ellis; her husband Joseph Mitchell Downs; her grandson Jesse Mitchell; and her sister Helen Elaine Perry (Jack).
She is survived by: her children, Fay A. Hemming (David) of Arcadia, FL and Joseph R. Downs (Karen) of La Plata, MD; her granddaughter Tamara Mitchell; and her siblings, Alice Ann Thompson (Thomas), Dena Hozik (Rick Marsh) and Terry Ellis (Wanda). She is also survived by relatives and friends.
