It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kazuko Hein of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husbands, Tom Hein and Don Howard; her parents, Gotaro Washio and Misae Narita Washio; and her sisters, Keiko Yagahashi and Mako Washio.
She is survived by: her children, Toshiko Oda of Tokyo and John Howard (Teresa) of Spotsylvania, Virginia.; and her grandchildren, Jeret Howard (Courtney), Amanda Jackson (Dwayne), Jacob Howard (Emma), Shinya (Satoko) and Naoki (Ai). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
