He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert P. Wakeman and Ruth Kraus Wakeman; and his brothers, Larry Wakeman (Kim) of Long Eddy, NY and David Wakeman (Rita) of Laguna Woods, CA.. He is survived by: his close friend Wes Hart; and his siblings, Cindy Bates (Tom) of Reading, MA, Greg Wakeman (Clarissa) of Fredericksburg, VA and Doug Wakeman (Rose) of Cumming, GA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (1300 Augustine Ave, Fredericksburg, VA 22401). A reception was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Regency North Club House.
