He was predeceased by: his mother Judy Flaherty. He is survived by: his father Paul Flaherty of Christiansburg, VA; his children, Jessica Flaherty of Dumfries, VA and Jacob Flaherty of Halifax; his siblings, Chris (Cathy) of Chesapeake, VA, Courtney (Copeland) of Powhatan, VA, Michael (Matt) of Christiansburg, VA and Megan (Philip) of Christiansburg; and his partner's son Brendan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Auburn Gridiron Club of Auburn High School where his youngest nephews play sports.
