He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Groves, and Maurice Groves, Sr.; and his siblings, Lawrence Gulick, Lucille Marders, Joyce Taylor, Hazel Barry and James "Mac" Gulick.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Groves; his stepson Jonathon Hicks (Corbin); his pet Acy; and his nephew David Gulick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Covenant Funeral Service - Fredericksburg (10830 Patriot Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22408). A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (3702 Loren Dr, Fredericksburg, VA 22408).
