He is survived by: his wife Harriet Simpson Burch; his children, Michael Eric Burch (Ashley), Jamie Elizabeth Matlock (Jeremy), Robert James Burch, Jr. (Raya) and Daniel Harrison Burch (Linda); and his grandchildren, Joshua Nolan Matlock, Jillian Louise Matlock and Victoria Alta Tolhurst Burch.
