As Ruth departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruth leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Clopton and Ollie Clopton; her daughters, Terri and Margaret; and her husband Richard.
She is survived by: her children, Margie and Rick. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Fredericksburg (10719 Courthouse Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407).
