He was predeceased by: his parents, Kyle O'Byrne and Lora O'Byrne; his former wife Sharon W. O'Byrne; and his sisters, Connie Dodd and Carain Labbe.

He is survived by: his son Stephen D. O'Byrne (Brooke); his grandchildren, Grace and Myles of Fisherville, VA; his siblings, Mike O'Byrne and Pam Redgrave; his sister-in-law Shirley Payne (Morris); his fiancé Latoshia Johnson of Clinton, MD; his partner's sons, Da'Shaun Johnson and Da'Veon Geiger; and his close friend James'Jimmy'Walters of Waynesboro, VA.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
