He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Staples and Lucy Staples; his sisters, Audrey Rodgers, Susie Garland and Edith Garland; and his son-in-law Bryan Fudrow.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Staples; his children, Shawn Staples and Nicole Fudrow (Blane Sharpe); his brother Earl Clifford Staples; and his pet Benny. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
