She was predeceased by: her mother Earlene Jones Barrett; her son Roger "Bubba" Lee Ray; her grandson Matthew Lundy; and her sister Patsy Edwards. She is survived by: her father John Odell Barrett of Fries, Virginia; her children, Amanda Ray (Robby Hollinger) of Lebanon, Virginia, Courtney Melton of Fries, Virginia and Barry Fields of Galax, Virginia; her brother Jeff Barrett (Tammie Hyatt) of Fries, Virginia; her grandchildren, Jonathan Wroten, Alexis Ray, Carrie Ray and Laya Ray; and her great grandchild Ezekiel Boyd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Monta Vista Cemetery (1031 Glendale Rd, Galax, VA 24333).
