She was predeceased by : her parents, Vernoy Bowers and Vilena Bowers of Fries, Virginia.; and her husband R. B. Kane. She is survived by : her sister Shirley Vaughan (Duane) of Galax; her sons, Rodney (Rhonda) and Barry (Cheryl); her granddaughters, Nicole Dalton (Chad), Morgan Kane, Jessie Hemric (Brett) and Holly Ballowe (Thomas); and her great grandchildren, Logan, Jackson, Levi, Autumn, Audrey, Landon and Colton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Timberlake Christian School, Timberlake Baptist Church, or Miller Home for Girls.
