She was predeceased by: her parents, Marguerite Willey Murphy and Lee Wilson Murphy; her husband Ronald Oakes; her siblings, Betty Hoynoski, Wayne Murphy, Ralph Murphy, Ray Murphy, William Murphy and Roy Murphy; and her half-sister Karen Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Jill Slaughter (Mike) and Ricky Oakes (Sharon); her sister Charlotte Murphy; her grandchildren, Brad Drawdy (Jessica), Kellie Bachelor (Elliott), Hannah Scates (Booth) and Danielle Oakes; her great grandchildren, Dean Drawdy, Penelope Drawdy, Cooper Scates, Charlie Scates, Palmer Bachelor, Pierson Bachelor and Pryor Bachelor; and her sister-in-law Diane Murphy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
