She was predeceased by: her parents, Sara Jeannette Todd Schwarck and Karl Henry Schwarck; her sister Sharon Rose Morris; and her grandchildren, Rosanna Jeannette Schroeder and Karl Heinrich Schroeder.
She is survived by: her children, George R. Slater II (Nubia Leonor Slater) and Robin L. Schroeder (James D. Schroeder); her grandchildren, Sarah N. Herrmann, Rheanna K. Schroeder, Jamilyn R. Schroeder, George B. Schroeder, David Coronado, Angelica Coronado and Juan Coronado; and her great grandchild Joseph Perez.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carla's name may be made to Lynn Care Center, 1000 N. Shenandoah Avenue, Front Royal, VA 22630 which will be placed in the residential account to provide gifts and supplies for residents in need.
