She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lewis Pritchett, Sr. and Nellie Susan Lillard Pritchett; her husband Albert Angus Dawson, Sr.; her grandson Travis Sibert; and her siblings, Mary Smith, Edna Scott, Shirley Williams, Ernest Pritchett (Buddy) and Robert Pritchett.
She is survived by: her children, Jo Ann Weidling (Paul) of Strasburg, Albert A. Dawson Jr. (Joyce) of Front Royal, Karen Sibert (Ray) of Front Royal, Doug Dawson of Front Royal and Shana Smoot (Mark) of Front Royal; her sisters, Joyce Parson (Paul) of Front Royal and Janet Lafferty of Stanley; her grandchildren, Chris Weidling (Kristin) of Strasburg, Jessica Weidling of Strasburg, Chad Dawson of Front Royal, Brandon Dawson (Christina) of Front Royal, Matthew Dawson (Brittany) of Gainesville, Catherine Dawson of Stephens City, Zachary Sibert (Lindey) of Berryville, Rachel Sibert of Front Royal and Mackenzie Jankauskas (Wyatt) of Warrenton; and her close friend Allison Smoot of Front Royal. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Maddox Funeral Home (105 W Main St, Front Royal, VA 22630). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
