“I worked with Steve for many years. Please respect his memory: he was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, not a Lieutenant. He was the Army's legal subject matter expert on hazardous waste matters, endangered species matters, and historic preservation issues. His legal opinion on these issues was sought out by Army installations around the world, and he mentored many environmental attorneys. He was a good friend. He loved Oklahoma and hated Texas. Loved him for that. He will be missed.”
