He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Willey Murphy and Lee Wilson Murphy; his former wife Yvonne "Bonnie" Judd; his wife Linda "Lynn" Murphy; his siblings, Betty Hoynoski, Ralph Murphy, William Murphy, Ray Murphy and Wayne Murphy; his half-sister Karen Murphy; and his stepgrandson Tristen Brinklow.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Ramona Stickley; his son Darryl Murphy (Patty); his stepdaughter Jennifer Brinklow (Johnny); his sisters, Beatrice Oakes and Charlotte Murphy; and his sisters-in-law, Nadene Murphy of Front Royal and Diane Murphy of Front Royal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Blue Ridge Hospice.
