He is survived by: his wife Nancy Shearer of Gainesville, Virginia; his children, Robert Shearer (Luisa) of Malibu, California and Susan Beckworth (Andy) of Warrenton, Virginia; his grandchildren, Will Shearer, Christopher Beckworth and Lauren Beckworth; and his sister Catherine Schane of Atlanta, Georgia..
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to The Lamb Center, a ministry close to Cyrus and Nancy's heart.
