It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Denny Cumber of Gainesville, Virginia, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Baker (Pearl) and Arthur Denny; her daughters, Judy Alexander-Weber (Stan) and Mary Ellen Rubel; and her granddaughter Stephanie Ellingson.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Cumber of Stafford, VA, Thomas Cumber (Kathy) of Gainesville, VA, David Cumber (Karen) of Virginia Beach, VA, Seana Smith of Lewes, DE and Catherine Gray (Steve) of Round Hill, VA.; and her grandchildren, Scott Huffmaster (Elizabeth), Jenna Alexander (Adam), Christi Alexander (Dave), Sarah Cottrell-Cumber (Matt), Matthew Cottrell-Cumber (Nicole), Tony Rivera-Silva (Crystal), Travis Rivera-Silva (Patty), Taylor Freedman (Matthew), Jonathon Cumber (Ashley), Kaitlyn Fee (Tylor), Kassidy Chaney (Tanner), Ryan Smith, Samantha Wheeler, Christian Tanner, James Tanner (Mary), Joshua Tanner (Taylor) and Alex Gray. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews, seven children, 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
