She was predeceased by : her parents, Santo Compagna and Mary J. Compagna; her husband Joseph Archibald Shifflette; and her brother Ernest A. Compagna. She is survived by : her children, Mark J. Shifflette (Debbie), Johanna M. Shifflette (Scott Wickett), Patrick J. Shifflette (Wendi) and Mary Shifflette Stup (Steve); and her grandchildren, Joseph Shifflette (Taylor), James Shifflette (Alyssa), Connor Shifflette, Spencer Shifflette, Kyle Shifflette, Trevor Stup, Morgan Stup and Cole Stup.

Memorial donations in Liz's name are asked to Charles County Public Schools Scholarship Fund, 5980 Radio Station Road, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
